Reference books are a beautiful example of our world, experiencing learning by looking is an important step to understanding.

Supernova is comprised of images from three books, The Universe, Perennials, and Birds. Vibrant images were harvested by hand to use as circular patches to cover amorphous shapes. Each shape is covered in images from the same book, organized by color starting with the stars, collections of foliage and a variety of feathers. Starting from the smallest feather to plants that cover the earth and beyond to the stars that make up the universe, each piece is assembled to create a representation of our galaxy.
